THE ARCHIVES

This section could just as easily be called Things Filmed on Our Old HD & SD Cameras With Low to No Budgets That Are Personal or Professional Points of Pride for… Reasons.

With the exception of Yeah Rite, which you should definitely watch because it’s awesome, we made these gems with very little money, often no crew, and nothing to lose. We appreciate how much love went into each of these endeavours, and though they have stood the test of time about as well as Ozymandias, they deserve to be dusted off.

Brace yourselves as you plunge deep into the plumbing of our past, as we humbly present these tasteless turds. You have been warned.

THE GREAT DIALOGUE CAPER

Afterlight Films Ltd. founder Michael Penney made this spoof of old silent films during his first year at Toronto Metropolitan University (then Ryerson Polytechnic University). First year students were not permitted to use sound recording equipment, so he devised this gem. Filmed in 16mm and transferred to SD in 2005. This was also the first time Michael used the name Afterlight Films.
